Clematis montana var. ‘Rubens’

A beautiful, fast growing climber, producing many mauve-pink, scented flowers with golden stamens, spring to early summer.  The bronze foliage and reddish stems are most attractive too.

A hardy perennial. Plant in any moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade.  Keep the base of the plant shaded and cool with other plants or pebbles.  Water regularly until established.  Trim back after flowering to keep tidy and take out and dead stems.   Supplied in 9 cm pot.
