Runner Bean White Lady

A delicious, fast growing, high yielding variety producing tender, succulent, stringless, smooth pods.  A good source of folic acid, Vitamin C and fibre.  The many, attractive white flowers are perfect for pollinating insects.  The birds are not attracted to white flower varieties so you are guaranteed a good crop.  Try growing Nasturtiums at the base to deter aphids.

Grows up to 3m/10ft high x 30cm/12inch spread.  Plant out in April after risk of frost in a sunny position, in rich fertile, well-drained soil.   They require support from canes, string or netting which should be put in place at the time of planting out. Harvest from July – October.
