Clematis ‘Rooguchi’

A beautiful herbaceous clematis producing rich purple bell shaped flowers in summer and autumn, followed by fluffy seedheads.

Bred in Japan to celebrate a tea festival and used for floristry.  Ideal for scrambling through roses and deciduous shrubs.  Can be grown in containers with support.

Fully hardy.  Easy to grow in any moist, well-drained soil, sun or part shade.  Prune in winter or early spring.

Supplied in 9cm pots.  Available from June 2026.
