To keep deer out of your garden, the fencing needs to be 6ft high. This can be costly and is not always practical.

Deer mainly feed from dusk until dawn, so movement activated sensor lights could put them off, although they will get used to them eventually.

They will eat fruit and berries and nibble anything if they are hungry. They do not like plants with strong scent, so Lavender, Rosemary and other herbs will generally be left alone. They also dislike hairy foliage, preferring fresh young shoots and leaves.

The following plants do not appeal to deer at all so should be left alone.
