Rhubarb ‘Champagne’

An excellent, early variety of rhubarb for forcing, producing long thin stems that are sweet and delicious.  For deeper red and just as tasty stems, grow unforced and harvest later.  The deep green leaves are flushed red when young and have ruffled edges, so it is most attractive in the vegetable garden.  Easy to grow and trouble free.  Can be grown in a large container.

Plant in good soil with some well rotted manure or good quality compost dug through. Full sun. Water regularly. In spring of the first year remove any emerging flower heads to save he plants energy. Supplied in 9 cm pot ready to plant out.  SORRY OUT OF STOCK.
