Leycesteria Formosa, Himalayan Honeysuckle

Fast growing, beautiful deciduous flowering shrub. Long racemes of exotic wine-purple coloured outer bracts over delicate white flowering which are attractive to bees and moths. These are followed by long bunches of deep purple berries in the autumn, which birds love.

Easy to grow on any moist, well drained soil in sun or part shade. A low maintenance shrub which performs very well with very little care. Cut stems down to a foot high in early spring to encourage lots of new fresh growth. Fully hardy. Drought tolerant. Slug and deer resistant. Unpruned will eventually reach up to 2.5 m H & S. Supplied in 9cm pot.
